The Mangalarga Marchador is a gaited horse of Iberian descent. Excellent cattle horses and deluxe trail animals. They excel in endurance, ranch work and cowboy dressage among many other talents.

Less than 300 Marchadors are in the U.S. but they are the national product of Brazil their homeland. Strict breeding standards are upheld in both Brazil and the U.S.

The Marchador was created from the Portuguese Alter-Real horses, Lusitanos, Spanish Jennets, Spanish Barbs and local Brazilian mares.
